Jamey & Lauren Jamey and I met here in the fine establishment we work for. It was, to say the least, and even at risk of sounding corny, love at first site. There was no doubt about the mental, emotional and last but not least, the physical attraction we had toward each other. Of course, being the professionals we are (were), we tried to be discreet about our inner office relationship. We would only go to lunch together 4 out of 5 days a week. (We didn't want to be too obvious you know?) It was however hard to be discreet when we started riding to work together. The concept that he was driving from Lake Mary to pick me up half a mile away from work just didn't fly, our coworkers were far too intelligent and snoopy for that! It was more than obvious when we moved in together.
Jamey and I have been through it all in the time we have been together. Our first vacation together was supposed to be 3 days long in Chicago; well we got the extended stay. Jamey ended up in ICU in Rockford Memorial Hospital in a coma for 7 days. It was the realizing moment for myself that Jamey was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, but had to question how much longer his own life would be. Jamey awakened from his coma and we returned home. After this ordeal, we needed a vacation from our vacation! I planned to fly to meet him at his mother's in West Virginia for the Christmas holidays so we could "get away" and he could show me where he grew up (sentimental we are). I arrived, however my luggage did not. Upon receiving my luggage (the next day), Jamey began giving me the grand tour. Hours into it, I started feeling ill. His mother, a hospital ultrasound tech, rushed me to the emergency room. Turns out my gallbladder was not so thrilled with our pizza we had for lunch and I had to have it (the gallbladder, not the pizza) removed. I left the hospital the next day with plans to schedule my surgery. Our next vacation was to the Dry Tortugas off of Key West. Our time there was brief, but amazingly relaxing, no real emergencies to speak up, aside from Jamey cutting himself while diving on a rusty docking pole. Most recently we returned from New York City. I brought Jamey there for his 30th birthday. It was suppose to be our get away together, from work and school and just every day life. Needless to say, Jamey ended up having midterms do and fellow members of his school team weren't prepared. He ended up working 3 hours the evening we arrived, 9 hours on Saturday and 2 hours on our final day there, not to mention on the plane and during our flight's delay in the airport.
Jamey and I both work extremely hard in all aspects of our life, friends, school, work, family and each other. We are true believers in "treat others as you would want to be treated". Honestly, Jamey is the most considerate, hard working, funny, smart down to earth PERSON I have ever met. My entire family loves him, and I hope his can say the same for me. We have helped each other thru the hard times, some harder than others, but all wonderful. I wouldn't trade a single memory we have shared together for anything. My parents have recently retired and paying for a large wedding for their only daughter just isn't even thinkable. Jamey and I have always said we'd get married in Vegas, and having our wedding sponsored by payperpost would be our second dream come true, each other being the first.
So if November 18th is good for you its EVEN BETTER for us! We hope to see you there! |
