Mike & Corrin I wouldn't say our story is especially riveting, but we like it.
Mike and I met online in 2001 (shh...nobody knows) and had a torrid summer fling. He was in Chicago and I was in Indianapolis, and he made the drive down weekly in a Jeep with no AC. By the end of summer, we had a falling out because I was a crazy college girl and he was far too nice to stand up for himself. I went on to finish college and start graduate school and Mike joined the Army and shipped off to Texas for training. We both moved back to Chicago in 2003 and reunited online (shhhhh...nobody knows). We met for dinner, got drunk, and ended up at the Holiday Inn and have been together ever since.
For the past year, I've been in Indianapolis working, and Mike has been in Chicago working. Our cell phone bills have been crazy, our cars have endured endless mileage, and the distance is wearing thin, but it's working. He just started paramedic school, which means another 2 years until we can get married (money-wise and distance-wise) if left up to our own accord.
We save our pennies and have made a trip to Vegas every year we've been together. We know we want to elope, because neither of us wants to do the first dance infront of our families (seriously, we can't dance). We both love PPP and every penny I make from being a Postie is going into my super secret savings account to save for eloping (okay, besides the $500 for car repairs and the $300 to have the new puppy snipped).
Basically, we love PPP, we love Vegas, and we want to get hitched, so we figured we'd give it a shot.
PS...I've attached a picture of our happy little family so tug at your heart strings and compell you guys to save us from being dirty shackers. |
